This too shall pass!
You can never truly know what goes on inside my mind. But let me tell you what my share of this geography feels like. Let me write a few lines about how I spend these days. My mind is filled with ruins, questions, and fears. Those old companions whose presence I feel more than ever now. “Sorrow” is my silent companion. “Regret” is the bread I eat every day. “Fear” is the friend I hold in my arms before sleep. “Pain” is my sister. “Homeland” is my grieving mother. “Hope” is my addiction. And yet, Hope remains the most beautiful feeling of all. Its laughter still echoes through my mind. Holding onto the sound of that laughter, I believe that this too shall pass, and that freedom will one day belong to us as well. Yes, we are addicted to Hope.
